Evaluating Your Situation
- How much space do I have: Does your driveway have enough room for a gate to swing inward or outward without hitting a vehicle, landscaping, or encroaching on a sidewalk or roadway? If not, a sliding is likely a better option.
- Does my driveway slope: A driveway that slopes upward from the street will prevent an inward-swinging gate from opening fully. In this case, a sliding gate is the most practical choice.
- Traffic: For high-traffic commercial properties, a fast and reliable sliding gate is often preferred. Residential properties with less traffic have more flexibility.
